Walking Manhattan Along the Hudson River

This past Monday, Memorial Day, I went on a wonderful walk from Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument at 89th Street and Riverside Drive to the Battery at the southern tip of Manhattan. My trip along the Hudson River took me through Riverside Park and Riverside Park South, the Hudson River Park, the Esplanade along Battery Park City, and Battery Park.

I’ve biked on the Manhattan Waterfront Greenway many times, but I’ve never walked through all of the parkland, piers and attractions that, after 72nd Street, are located to the west of the bike path.

I took a lot of pictures with my iPhone. You can view the following slideshow and also view the images on a map of Manhattan to see where I took the photos.
